For hotels, banqueting and catering teams
A Social Tables alternative with 3D included on every plan
Metis is an independent room planner built for the people who sell and run events in hotels and venues. Recreate each function room once, lay out the event on top of it, and send the client a link that opens the same plan in 2D and a 3D walkthrough.
Bringing the rooms you already have
Coming from Social Tables? You do not have to redraw your venue from memory. Anything you can get out as a PDF or an image becomes an editable Metis room.
1 — Export
Save the floor plan you already have as a PDF, PNG, JPG or SVG.
2 — Import
Create a plan in Metis, choose Import Existing Floorplan and upload it.
3 — Scale
Pick two points you know the real distance between and type it in. Printed dimensions are not read for you.
4 — Trace
Detect the visible walls, doors and windows, review what it found and edit anything it misread.
5 — Keep
Save the finished room as a venue template. Every future event in that room starts from it.
Check the tracing before you trust it. Detection is an editable starting point, not a substitute for reading the source drawing — confirm the scale, the wall joins, which way the doors swing and anything faint or heavily annotated.
What teams use Metis for
Banqueting sales
Turn an enquiry into a laid-out room while the client is still on the phone. Auto Layout fills the room in banquet, cabaret, theatre, classroom or U-shape, and the Optimiser ranks alternatives for capacity, spacing or sightlines.
Seating the room
Import the guest list, seat it automatically, then move individual covers. Print table-by-table seating charts for the venue and the caterer.
Function sheets and setup
Check Current Fit flags chair overlaps, tight walkways and clearance problems while they are still easy to fix, and the approved plan prints for the operations handover.
Client sign-off
Send a review link. The client opens the room in 2D and 3D and comments on it — no account, no install, nothing to explain.
Your room library
Each function room is saved as a template with its real doors, pillars, windows and finishes. Every future event in that room starts from it.
Teams and IT
Per-seat team plans, Microsoft single sign-on and two-factor authentication, with published pricing and a 14-day trial that needs no card.
Questions people ask before switching
Can I bring my existing floor plans into Metis?
Yes. Export the floor plan you already have as a PDF, PNG, JPG or SVG, import it into Metis, calibrate the scale from two known points, and trace the visible walls, doors and windows into editable objects. Review the result, then save the room as a reusable template.
Is the 3D walkthrough an extra?
No. Every plan on every paid tier opens as a 3D walkthrough — fly round the room, walk it at eye level, or switch on the party lighting.
Do my clients need an account to see the plan?
No. A review link opens the plan in any browser in both 2D and 3D, and clients can leave comments on it without signing up.
Can our coordinators work in the same venue library?
Yes. Team plans cover several users on one venue library, so room templates built once are available to everyone who plans events in them.
Is Metis connected to Social Tables?
No. Metis Room Planner is an independent product from ICP Events Limited and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Social Tables or Cvent, Inc.
