Bringing the rooms you already have
Coming from EventDraw? You do not have to redraw your venue from memory. Anything you can get out as a PDF or an image becomes an editable Metis room.
1 — Export
Save the floor plan you already have as a PDF, PNG, JPG or SVG.
2 — Import
Create a plan in Metis, choose Import Existing Floorplan and upload it.
3 — Scale
Pick two points you know the real distance between and type it in. Printed dimensions are not read for you.
4 — Trace
Detect the visible walls, doors and windows, review what it found and edit anything it misread.
5 — Keep
Save the finished room as a venue template. Every future event in that room starts from it.
Check the tracing before you trust it. Detection is an editable starting point, not a substitute for reading the source drawing — confirm the scale, the wall joins, which way the doors swing and anything faint or heavily annotated.

Questions people ask before switching
Do I need CAD experience?
No. Metis is drag-and-drop with snapping and a built-in Getting Started guide that takes a new user from blank canvas to a finished room.
Can I import an existing floor plan?
Yes — PDF, SVG, PNG, JPG and JPEG up to 20 MB, page one for PDFs. Calibrate the scale from two known points, then trace the walls, doors and windows into editable objects and review them before saving the room.
Are the measurements real?
Yes. Rooms are drawn to scale in metric or imperial, tables come from real hire stock, and non-standard sizes are flagged so they can be snapped back to a size that can actually be hired.
Can I print and share the finished plan?
Print the plan and the setup pack, export it, or send a review link that opens it in 2D and 3D for comments without an account.
