For venues, hotels and event planners

Is event floor plan software worth it?

Put in your own numbers and see what Metis would pay back in a year. There are no averages from us in here — every figure is yours to change, the starting values are deliberately cautious, and the working is shown underneath.

Your numbers

Time spent on plans today

Bookings won

A 3D walkthrough and a same-day plan help close enquiries. How many extra bookings a year would that be for you? One is a fair start.

Set-up mistakes avoided

Rooms re-set on the day because the plan didn't fit — tables moved, a stage re-built, extra crew.

Where the time actually goes

Most of the hours in a floor plan are not the first drawing — they are the second, third and fourth: the client adds twenty guests, the band needs a bigger stage, the fire officer wants a wider aisle. That is where software earns its keep, and it is why the time-saved figure above is yours to set rather than ours to claim.

  • Rooms drawn once. Each room is saved as a template, so a new event starts from the real walls, doors and pillars.
  • Layouts in seconds. Auto Layout fills the room in any seating style and tells you how many it really seats; changing the guest count is a re-run, not a redraw.
  • Fewer rounds with the client. A 3D walkthrough and a review link answer "what will it look like?" before it becomes three emails.
  • Counts you don't do by hand. Equipment reports total the tables, chairs and linen for the set-up team.

Reading the result honestly

If the answer only works because of extra bookings, be careful — that is the hardest number to know in advance. The line under the results tells you how many hours a month Metis has to save to pay for itself on time alone. If that sounds easy for your team, the rest is upside. The best way to find your real time-saving is to time one plan in your current tool and the same plan in Metis during the free trial.

Questions

Is this a guarantee?

No. It is your estimate, worked through. Metis does not publish an average saving, because it depends on how many plans you make, how many rooms you reuse and how many revisions your clients ask for.

Which plan should I pick?

Standard suits one person making up to 50 plans a year. Pro removes the plan limit and adds client review links and the website widget. Team is four people sharing one library of rooms and templates.

Are the prices monthly?

The prices shown are per month, billed annually, as on the pricing section. The calculator uses twelve months of the plan you choose.

How do I check my own time-saving?

Start the 14-day trial, set up one of your rooms, then rebuild a recent event and time it. Put that figure back in here.
