For venue sales and events teams

An iVvy alternative for the floor-plan side of venue sales

Metis handles the room design and seating part of venue sales. It sits happily beside whatever runs your bookings and invoicing: recreate each function space once, lay out enquiries on top of it in seconds, and let the client walk the result in 3D before they commit.

Bringing the rooms you already have

Coming from iVvy? You do not have to redraw your venue from memory. Anything you can get out as a PDF or an image becomes an editable Metis room.

1 — Export

Save the floor plan you already have as a PDF, PNG, JPG or SVG.

2 — Import

Create a plan in Metis, choose Import Existing Floorplan and upload it.

3 — Scale

Pick two points you know the real distance between and type it in. Printed dimensions are not read for you.

4 — Trace

Detect the visible walls, doors and windows, review what it found and edit anything it misread.

5 — Keep

Save the finished room as a venue template. Every future event in that room starts from it.

Check the tracing before you trust it. Detection is an editable starting point, not a substitute for reading the source drawing — confirm the scale, the wall joins, which way the doors swing and anything faint or heavily annotated.

What teams use Metis for

Every space, measured once

Build each function room with its real walls, doors, pillars, windows and finishes, and save it as a template. Enquiries after that are a two-minute job.

Enquiry to layout

Auto Layout fills the room for the style asked for — banquet, cabaret, theatre, classroom, U-shape — and the Optimiser ranks the alternatives so the answer is the best one, not the first one.

Show, don't describe

Every plan opens as a 3D walkthrough. A client who has walked the room books the room.

Your site, your enquiries

The Website Widget puts a capacity tool and your published rooms on your own website, so the enquiry comes to you with a plan behind it.

Seating and service

Import the guest list, seat it, and print the table plans and operations packs the floor team runs the event from.

Shared across the team

Team plans, Microsoft single sign-on and two-factor authentication, with one venue library everyone works from.

Questions people ask before switching

Does Metis replace a venue management system?

No. Metis is the floor-plan and seating side: room design, event layouts, guest seating, 3D walkthroughs, client review links and the setup handover. Bookings, invoicing and contracts stay wherever they are today.

Can we bring our existing room drawings in?

Yes. Import a PDF, PNG, JPG or SVG of the room, set the scale from two known points and trace the visible walls, doors and windows into editable objects. Review it, then save it as a venue template.

Can we show our spaces on our own website?

Yes. The Website Widget publishes your rooms and a capacity tool on your site, and enquiries arrive with the layout the visitor built.

Do clients need an account?

No. A review link opens the plan in 2D and 3D in any browser and collects their comments.

Is Metis connected to iVvy?

No. Metis Room Planner is an independent product from ICP Events Limited and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to iVvy Pty Ltd.
